Digital Agriculture for Sustainable Development

First Edition of the one-year specialisation programme AGRITECH EU (Master AGRITECH EU) organised by University of Pisa, University of Macerata, National Research Council (CNR) and Quinn Consortium (Consorzio Quinn) for the academic year 2024/2025

Objectives

This Master aims to train specialists in the digital transition of agricultural enterprises through a focused learning path. Participants will:

  • Acquire principles, concepts, and terminology related to digital agriculture.
  • Familiarize themselves with key technological solutions for digital agriculture and their evolution.
  • Develop the ability to manage digital agriculture tools.
  • Learn to interact with technology providers and developers to design and select innovative applications.
  • Evaluate the socio-economic impact of digital technologies.

Who should apply?

AGRITECH EU welcomes students from both ICT backgrounds and agricultural/veterinary fields. Through a multi-stakeholder approach and a multidisciplinary community connecting academia, research organizations, SMEs, private entities, NGOs, and development agencies, the program aims to drive the digital transformation of agricultural and food companies. Graduates will become specialists in sustainable technology adoption.

Enrollment and Costs


Prerequisites

Access to the programme is reserved for a maximum of 50 participants

To access the programme, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any subject.

If you do not have it, you can still join the programme as Auditor. The complete list of admitted degree classes is available in the CALL A.Y. 2024/2025

How to apply for available places

Enrollment Procedure for Available Slots
To enroll within 31 January 2025, it is necessary to:

  • Access your personal page on the “Alice” Portal (www.studenti.unipi.it) by clicking on the “login” option and entering your credentials.
  • Navigate to the “Segreteria” section and select “Scelta del corso (immatricolazioni)”.
  • Follow the guided path: “immatricolazione” → “immatricolazione standard”.
  • Upload the “Forimm” and “Dich_unica” forms on the Alice Portal.
  • Make the payment, via PagoPA, of the first installment of the master’s fee plus €30.00 for administrative fees and €16.00 for stamp duty.

This payment is a mandatory condition to finalize the enrollment and must be completed within 2 days from the date of submission of the admission application.

Failure to comply with the payment within the specified deadline will result in non-enrollment in the master’s program, and consequently, you will not be allowed to attend classes.

Moreover, each candidate should send an email to segreteriadidattica@consorzioquinn.it attaching:

  • signed curriculum vitae
  • a copy of valid ID
  • valid ISEE certificate for those wishing to apply for the scholarship

Costs

Tuition fee

  • Ordinary students: 4000 € divided into 3 installments
    • Installment n.1 – 1600 € due 3 January 2025
    • Installment n.2 – 400 € due 15 April 2025
    • Installment n.3 – 2000 € due 15 June 2025
  • Auditors: 2000 € (lump sum)

Scholarships

We are pleased to announce 30 scholarships funded by the European Commission to support students’ educational journey. These scholarships are worth 2000 € and are designed to cover installment n.3.

Criteria for allocation:

  1. ISEE Certification: applicants must  provide proof of their ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) score (70%)
  2. Curriculum evaluation (30%)

In Italy, 19% of the total cost of the program is always deductible, and it is possible to participate in regional calls that support post-graduate training.
